to Mabel & Wilson’s Home Stays, where we, Mabel and Wilson, along with our amazing hooman Louise, can’t wait to host you at Chestnut Pastures Farm near Long Marston, Stratford Upon Avon!
We are thrilled to provide a home-away-from-home dog boarding experience at our newly licensed, serene 4-star farmstead nestled on eight acres in the beautiful Warwickshire countryside.
With a lifetime of experience working with animals, Louise graduated with Merit in 2001 from Moreton Morrell Agricultural College, earning a Higher National Diploma in Animal Welfare and Business Management from Harper Adams University. Her background as a veterinary nurse equips her with a strong foundation in caring for your beloved pets. We prioritise animal welfare, ensuring that our furry guests can explore our secure gardens, enjoy paddling in the pool, or relax in their beds. Plus, we offer two daily walks and playtime for those energetic pups!
What to expect from your home stay
Location
Mabel & Wilson’s Home Stays is located on our eight-acre farmstead, a doggy paradise with 150 acres of woodland walks on the doorstep just begging to be explored. Plus, you’ll get to meet our horse and sheep buddies, who are always ready to give a warm welcome (and maybe some treats if you’re lucky).
The Experience
We are so excited to welcome you to our pet care service—where every furry friend is treated like family! We have cosy beds, bowls, and leads ready for all our new pals, plus a collar tag with our human's number just in case we need help. Our secure gardens and paddling pools are perfect for fun playtime, and during the hot days, the cooling fans and blackout blinds keep us nice and comfy. And for those cooler nights, we have a wood burner for extra warm snuggles. We promise our new friends will have a safe and enjoyable stay!

Drop off and Collection Times: 09:30-15:00 & 16:00 - 16:30
Agreed Drop off and Collection Times MUST be adhered to. If you arrive an hour late to drop off we are permitted to refuse entry to you (as it may clash with another appointment) and you will lose the full booking fee. -
We accept delays up to 30 minutes, over this time will be chargable (subject to discretionary rates by the office). Repeated late arrivals and collections will not be tolerated and we reserve the right to refuse future bookings.

Evening appointments are strictly by appointment only and will be charged at £10.00. This is due to feeding, walking and settling the dogs for the evening being affected.

Emergency & Out of Hours, Veterinary Trips: We will take your dog to your vet if it is within a 15 mile/20 min radius of CV37 8AN during normal operating hours. For Out of Hours Emergencies, we will take your dog to our Registered Vets: Abbey Green Vets, Church Close, Broadway, WR12 7AH. Vet trips are charged at £20 to cover mileage, wear and tear and time. The customer remains liable for the veterinary fees (please see our T&C’s page for full details) which are due at collection.

Our Booking Process
2. You will be contacted to arrange a MEET & GREET SESSION at our farmstead (address below). This is for your dog to meet Mabel & Wilson. Please bring your dog with you! We cannot process your booking without completing this initial meeting.
1.Complete the Enquiry Form
3. Subject to a successful Meet & Greet Session, we will book a trial overnight stay (for any stay longer than 3 nights)​​
5. Following your Meet & Greet, complete the Booking Form
6. Pay your Deposit to secure your Booking
7. Final payment must be made before or at drop off
If you would like to book a Home Stay for your furry friend, please complete our Home Stay Enquiry Form (All dogs over 1 yr of age MUST be neutered and vaccinated) or contact us to arrange a Meet & Greet, where we will introduce the dogs to one another before moving onto booking a trial overnight stay. ​​For bookings of 3 days or more, a trial overnight stay will need to be arranged, this is to ensure your dog is happy and settled in our home. We currently offer the trial overnight stay at a reduced rate.
